About Me
Eugenie Zhan is a fashion illustrator based in Melbourne. Previously, working in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. She has extensive experience working as a live event illustrator with clients like Cartier, Ralph Lauren, Maserati, Fendi, Mercedes Benz, Tiffany, Maserati and Brisbane Fashion Month to name a few. As well as live fashion illustrating for weddings, parties and bridal showers, she also creates custom artworks for her clients.
How did it all start? Since she was young illustrating has always been an avid hobby, this passion really grew into a small business for Eugenie whilst she was studying at university - not studying arts, surprisingly she was studying optometry! In 2015 she took the plunge and decided to volunteer live illustrating at the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival, drawing designer looks live from the runway. She quickly found her niche: capturing the movement of fashion - in the moment! Then she went on to draw for Undress Runways, Designer Q official and White Label Noba before working for Brisbane Fashion Month in 2017, where she had the privilege to present her live drawn artwork to Kellie Hush, former Editor-in-Chief of Harper's BAZAAR Australia . Since then Eugenie has worked with various designers, luxury brands, skincare, eyewear and jewellery brands.
So what is she up to now? Eugenie works as both a fashion illustrator and optometrist, balancing her week with some serious work and some creative fun. In 2023 Eugenie started studying her Bachelors of Fashion Design at RMIT Melb in pursuit of creating her sketches into reality!
In 2024 she had the privilege to do an exchange for her fashion design studies in Milan at Insituto Europa di Design - truly a fashion capital! Now Eugenie is back home in Melbourne for 2025 to complete her final year of fashion design studies. Follow along for her journey and see what will unfold for the coming year ahead!
